Did you know?

The SEA DRAGONS' team is 100% Parent- Run.

Aside from coaching, the entire Sea Dragons Swim organization and running of this amazing team and the meets are dependent on YOU, the volunteers.  Therefore, every family must fulfill a minimum of four (4) volunteer positions, which includes one (1) position at the Blue-Green meet and three (3) positions at any three (3) other meets.

The Sea Dragons wouldn’t exist without the active involvement of the parents.

Blue Green Meet

The Blue Green Meet is extremely important for the swimmers to establish times for each stroke. These times are used for placement in the heats for the first meet. Every family is required to volunteer at the Blue Green Meet. Experienced volunteers will assist and train volunteers who want to learn new positions. Please sign up for one position and plan to work that position first. If you want to learn more than one position, you may swap with someone during the meet.

Intermural Swim Meets

We cannot run swim meets without the help of our parents. Unlike some sports, all of our “staff” are volunteers, it takes 30+ volunteers to run a single swim meet. In order to meet the needs of our team, we have the following rules:

  • Families are required to volunteer for a minimum of 3 regular season swim meet positions and/or serve on a committee in addition to the Blue Green meet.
  • Please sign up for 3 positions. If 3 are not available, please send an email with the dates of your availability and you will be assigned based on the needs of the team, where there may gaps in volunteer sign up duties.
  • Stroke & Turn Judges and Starters are required to attend a training class presented by the TSA.
